Business Insider contradicts themselves and admits while trying to claim that Trump’s claim of “ most viewed SOTU” ever was incorrect, inadvertently admits that millions more viewed it via streaming which in all likelihood makes his the most viewed SOTU. Viewership numbers are only tallied by Nielsen ratings of broadcast viewers. Broadcast numbers have been steadily declining since streaming became more of an available option.

So predictable.
I heard some righty talking head trying to make this case earlier today and wondered if I might find it here.
Problem is, Trump didn't leave any room for all this convoluted revisionism and Monday morning quarterbacking.
He stated a specific number, and that that number was the the largest in history.
"Thank you for all of the nice compliments and reviews on the State of the Union speech. 45.6 million people watched, the highest number in history"
And he was wrong. Again. Like clockwork.
Who CARES if that wasn't the biggest TV audience for a SOTU in history? I care about the policies he's implementing.
Yes, I get that you don't care, and why.
A matter of priorities, I suppose. Because I'm at odds with many (not all) of his policies I care more about the fact he's a serial liar - a walking, talking mis and disinformation machine, which speaks to a chilling lack of character, creates a constant sense of mistrust, and has an enormous dumbing down effect on our nation.
The thing is though, even if I was totally gung ho about his policies - even if he was a democrat president rather than a republican one - this part of him would still really trouble me. But that doesn't seem to be at play at all for his current supporters :dunno:
