You have to understand the mindset of the people that do this. They blame every problem in the world on Christianity. It is their way of throwing a public temper tantrum and lashing out is a way of making Christians feel uncomfortable. Ironically, these are the same people that condemn the burning of Qu'rans because it will incite and offend Muslims.

Their childish behavior should be a cause for pity.

The one poster that does this the most is doing so because they feel that Christians are the main source of their misery. And believe me, no matter how much they tell you that they are loving life, they probably spend countless hours reliving the past with those around them casting blame on people that they feel short changed them in life and crying theirself to sleep.

Good to see xman back. Not a fan of offending anyone's religious beliefs personally as I have a friend that is Turkish Muslim and would do anything for him. He is a good soul but at least xfire is an equal opportunity offender. We need more lefties like that. Speaking of reasonable liberals, where the hell is Jagger? The week I spent away from here allowed me to realize that in my diverse circle of friends that include far left wing liberals and atheists and agnostics' that not a one of them would say the the things to outright offend as some on this board do. I am better off not reacting to their childish antics and their attempts at dumbing down the board. We need to raise the level of discussion instead of fueling the Romper Room mentality that has taken hold the past few months.

I completely agree with this.

The most annoying thing is twofold:

1.-only a select few are doing it.

I always expect heated exchanges during campaigns, but to continue the campaign rhetoric well after the dust has settled is taking it too far. I would like to think I turned down the volume after the election, maybe I didn't, I can try harder to be more civil, and hopefully everyone else will, too.

The other night I was watching the President give a speech and aside from bowing to other world leaders and my disagreements with him on policy. I found myself realizing that I am quite proud of his abilty to articulate his viewpoint especially on the world stage and the way he conducts himself when dealing with crucial issues. With GWB I was always holding my breath like watching my daughter at her first piano recital hoping she wouldn't mess up. Given what I know now and if I had to vote for Obama against McCain or Bush I would now choose Obama. I would still vote for Romney over him because he is an articulate communicator that my politics are more aligned wth.

The central issue with this type of pornographic imagery is the intentions of those in control who create those images. Their purpose and agenda.

Certainly, porn company owners would contend that it is mere harmless exploitation of a controversial taboo subject matter done simply to generate greater sales. However, seeing the type of rabid fanatical hatred of God displayed by the so-called atheists that frequent this board, do you beleive that to be true.

If the people in control of creation of these images actually hate religion, God, and people of God, then Desecration porn turns from harmless exploitation of a taboo subject matter, to hateful satanistic propaganda.

Certainly the atheist "minions" on this board have shown great zeal in using this type of imagery to illustrate their hatred of religion, and mock those who believe in God...so perhaps that should serve as a clue.

Romney wouldn't have been a terrible president , I'm still not thrilled with his silver-spoon upbringing or his vulture capitalism when he was with Bane, but he's the sort of Blue State Republican that I could vote for, a Rockefeller republican. I could honestly see myself voting republican in 2016, depending on the candidate they field. I'm a Hillary fan, but she's a New Democrat, like Bill, and I'm not totally thrilled with their platform.

Years ago, I recall a member posting comments they had found about FreeOnes Talk taken from some other message board.

The comment was something like "they aren't too smart over there."

This was back in the day when the place was full of great posters and I was a bit surprised.

While a lot of members back then acted silly and had fun (myself included), and despite the ever-present trolling, there was quite often very intelligent discourse.

And now we have members like assari. A moronic asshat if ever there was one.

I shudder when I think what that same person would say if they were to see this place now.
