It really does. See for yourself. The DHS video goes out of its way to avoid showing any terrorist who fits the profile of the actual terrorists who have been waging war on us for more than a decade: Young men primarily from the Middle East. Instead, it tends to show them as middle aged white men. And it doesn’t really show them doing much of what actual terrorists do. It’s as if DHS is trying to make a completely useless anti-terrorism video. Within the video, the narrator makes it clear that ethnicity, age and religion should not be a factor in judging whether an act is terrorism or not. While showing terrorists ...[entirely] as white men.

This video might slip past without raising much comment if the Napolitano DHS didn’t have a record of, on the one hand dismissing actual terrorism as “man caused disasters,” while on the other hand drafting a report that warned of potential terrorism from returning veterans and conservative groups. But Napolitano’s DHS does have that record.

Actually it's very clever, I'm sure most Americans are already wary of people of Middle Eastern/East Indian appearance so don't need any further reminding yet they may miss out on 'white' terrorists like Timothy McVeigh or even muslim converts. People acting suspiciously or carrying strange items is far more telling than the colour of their skin. Only today the Norwegian shooter was described as a 6ft tall white blonde, best to keep people minds open to all posibilities and various motives.

So singling out an entire 'other' group is alright then? The fact is America is overwhelmingly caucasian. And white males make up probably the second largest single group in the country (behind white females). I don't even know if it's so much that all the villians are white males as much as clearly all those who are vigilant, smart, 'patriotic' or else are people who aren't white. :wtf: It's a divisive and politically correct video at best; at worst it's blatant racism, plain and simple.

Well, if you don't mind meeting half way, the DHS bureaucracy doesn't have any business depicting would be terrorists as people from any particular ethnic background, is that reasonable enough?
