Yeah boo-fucking-hoo. Here in Indiana you can't buy any liquour on Sundays at all. Nor can you buy it any other night between the hours of 2 - 7 am.

Fortunately, I live near the border of another state which has no such lame laws.

This. It has to be the stupidest fucking law enacted by our state. All it does is force people to load up on Saturday.

But Illinois is only 45 minutes away if I'm really desperate and out of alcohol on a Sunday.

It's pretty bad here. I just moved to a town where dancing and rock music have been banned. It's up to me and the preacher's horny daughter to rebel against the law, and convince the other townspeople to have a change of heart. We're going to dance the night away.

So I guess the moral of the story is that you should have stayed stocked up to have a very abundant supply of booze on hand instead of waiting for the last minute. :dunno: :1orglaugh

Here in California liquor/beer sales are suspended between 2am-6am, but other than that there aren't really any restrictions on what days or % you can buy.

The one thing that bugs me, is that there is a beach city 5 miles west of where I live where it is illegal to smoke cigarettes anywhere but a private residence. Smoking inside places of business has long been banned, smoking within 20ft. of operable doors and windows of a place of business likewise, and smoking on "sandy beaches," has been disallowed for 5-6 years all over CA (I have the unpaid citation to prove it), but this entire city has a no smoking ordinance. If they see you smoking a cigarette on the sidewalk, or in front of your house in an area which is not specifically private property, they will write you up a citation. I feel like I'm 16 all over again, ducking and hiding just trying to have a smoke.

If you can't wait to buy a drink between 2 and 6 am.... The ordianance and store hours aren't your problem.
