So I wouldn't be surprised if she throws herself off a bridge or in front of a train if you're not the piggish, misogynistic, father figure she's always wanted.

It should be a balance between the two. Stare at a girl too long and she'll think it's creepy. A quick look wouldn't be considered checking her out. It should be long enough to show you acknowledge her and think she's hot but not come across as being scary.

I think women like to be checked out and be given the attention but to a point. Gawking and staring is a huge turnoff to the majority of women. It can get creepy and girls may get pissed off, upset, or just self-conscience when us guys look a little too hard at a pretty girl.

Yep if a girl looks slutty then she is looking for attention. I also agree with drf that there is a difference between checking out a girl and staring and gawking.
