Do you collect Adult dvds/box cover art??

I do. I know everyone who is an adult porn consumer collects digital scenes download because it's most convienent and cost effective. I do too. But lately I have been collecting dvds and the cover art because I feel like it is also a nice hobby. I figured over time they will be hard to find because we know modern porn is all digital download. As time passes I know dvds sort of becomes even more irrelevant.

I think it's a fun hobby collecting dvds of your favorite porn girls.

Does any like minded fans do the same?? Anyone agree or disagree?

Definitely prefer hard media. Box arts are amazing, and you actually own something.

I started collecting adult dvds a few months ago. I have around 60 dvds so far but I only collect and buy my favorite adult stars. The box art is really cool and the dvd cases are bigger than blu-ray. I remember back in the early 2000s when dvds started to become a big thing and even though blu-rays and 4k have taken over now, dvds are still hanging around 20 years later. I will probably stop collecting dvds when I reach 100. That should be enough to satisfy me.

Japanese AV covers are good. Often too good to the point where the cover is so well done the actual porn doesn't look as good as the cover

A case of opposite sometimes being better ~ cheaper dvd players = cheaper laser = sees right through superficial scratches and reads cheap burnt discs better.

I asked the same question myself, a decade or three ago ~ my computer's drive or the progressive scan, 400$ dvd player I had would freeze up or not play certain DVDs. The drive is designed to ready every last byte to a reasonable degree, and little scratches/errors make it hiccup, like playing back cheaply made burnt discs and porn flix.

Tell ya what, does the portable play mp4s or .avi? Just rip and convert to a compatible filetype, put it on a DVD-r or flash drive (if the portable has the usb slot, a'course) and see if that works.

I'm fond of USB on portables (DVD, Playstation portable) for power concerns, if nothing else ~ that disc laser eats up the battery in a few hours.

Anyway, thats my advice if your porn requirements are high. Best of luck in your watchings.

Haha, you're totally right. The covers are fantastic, and sometimes the film inside isn't all that wonderful.

Yeah, I know that Amazon sells the best players. They even have region-free players, which are otherwise hard to get. I checked the stores in Slovakia where I live and they only have the old stuff. Funnily I also checked stores in Austria (our neighbor), which is a much more developed country than us, and they sell exactly the same things. Third time I looked on the website of Best Buy in the U.S. and they seem to have players with much larger screens, but only for one region. Hopefully those large screens are going to arrive here someday.

Now when it comes to Amazon, I'm rather reserved. Those poor employees there have a limit of 60 items per one hour and I'm kind of wondering about the quality of their work. I don't think I'm ordering anything from them.

I sincerelly apologize for this off-topic post. Just to let you know, I'm a DVD maniac myself and as soon as I will be living alone, I'm definitely getting some hardcore goodies as well.

I have Windows 7 on my laptop so it still has the DVD drive in it. Works perfectly fine for me. No problems at all. However the battery is starting to become a problem. It doesn't "charge" anymore so I always have to keep the charger plugged in. Pretty soon I'm going to need to buy a new laptop and will eventually need to get an external DVD drive as well.
