Do you make your own coffee in the morning?

yeah, but the instant is much better than in the states.
they export all the good real coffee and keep the shitty for themselves.
you just cant find a good grind.
Also, most drink it black and if you ask for a coffee with milk they give you literally 90% milk with a little bit of coffee.
trying to order a coffee is an ordeal.

I know not everyone drinks coffee, but those of you who don't, go drink your tea, or whatever. Andy Ry has a bloody mary for breakfast, as I understand...

I make it at home - it saves huge dollars, and I find I can make as good or better coffee than is available anywhere locally.

I actually use my coffee maker as an alarm clock. It grinds the beans (which I roast at home too), and the sound is just loud enough to wake me up (it's a floor lower than my bedroom). Then I spend the four minutes it takes to brew laying in bed and smelling delicious coffee smells.

When I periodically do get something like Starfucks, I just don't enjoy it.


Anyone have a different/better routine?

Make it. Usually tastes like shit compared to the stuff they have anywhere else. Must be the tap water or something. Went to the hosptital the other day to see my cousin and the coffee there was brilliant. Much better than the stuff I brew. :dunno:

Sounds like you need to give your coffee pot a good cleaning. It's really important that you clean it very thoroughly because a dirty coffee pot can lead to shitty coffee.

Never reheat coffee in the microwave! What's wrong with you? You Might as well just drink a cup of toxic waste. Just make a new pot whenever you want some coffee, it doesn't take that long to brew a pot.

Well, it's not like I recycle spent coffee grounds or anything! :drool1:

Seriously, I don't leave the heating element on after I brew in the AM, I just let the coffee cool down and later if I want coffee later in the day I'll just nuke up a cup. What the hell, if it tastes as good later as it does in the AM, why not reheat it and consume it later? IMO, the excess heating of the brew is what fucks up the taste of the coffee, not the condition of allowing the coffee to drop to room temp.

I brew a pot of Dunkin' Donuts coffee, every morning. If I am traveling I alwasy bring my Dunkin Donuts coffee with me or go buy a XL cup of French Vanilla Dunkin' Donuts - can you tell that I am addicted to MY Double D? Its a Boston tradition!

It isn't a sacrilege, provided you do this:
Pour a generous helping of blended whisky in the cup.
Fill with coffee, leave 1/4 inch space at the top.
Microwave. While it is heating, whip some heavy cream, not until it is stiff, just thickened.
Pour the cream on top of the hot coffee very carefully, over the back of a spoon - if you do it right, it will sit on top.

Now, every time you take a sip, you get a bit of cool cream and a bit of hot coffee/whisky.

But the truth is...
