Do You Still Go To The Movies?

Do you still go to see movies in movie theaters or do you wait for them to come to Netflix or onDemand type services?

I stopped going to see movies at theaters years ago. Mainly because they cost too much in theaters. I currently Netflix.

A movie in the theater beats a movie on TV every time.

Netflix doesn't have new releases. If I want to see a new movie I don't want to wait 6 months for it to be on Netflix.

unless it's on netflix instant watch. But I still enjoy going to the movies. Just something about a nice big fuckin bag of popcorn and a large pop. Along with that atmosphere. Can't explain it really.

OH and let the popcorn marinade in the salt and butter overnight....AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!

Not anymore. The backseat of a car was for sex, after I got a home, whoever I was with, and if she wanted to have sex, we just loaded the DVD, cut the volume up, and went to the bedroom. Same sorta atmosphere and you didn't freeze your butt off in the winter.

i was talking about being surrounded by people who have no idea what your doing and/or tastefully ignore what you are doing...adds an extra thrill to it :dunno:

agree with mrt -- nothing beats the experience of seeing a good movie in a large theater on a big screen. wonder if DIY home cinemas will impact upon this soon ...


edit: bbw makes a good point too -- yes, i do like the peace and quiet also of watching a nice movie at home .

Definitely agree with you. There's nothing like seeing a movie on the"big screen". Although lately, I never seem to make the time to go to the cinema as I once did.

Have had to make do with my new big screen T.V. and VOD service.

I know I'm just repeating but...watching movies on T.V. is like watching half a movie.

Filmakers in general make films specifically for the big screen.
