When you hear/ think of a song, usually a crappy one and it plays over and over in your head all day?

I just did it to myself in another thread. My mommy did it to me, I shouldn't even know these lyrics.

Well, normally I wouldn't tell this bit of advice, but I like you. Whenever you have an unwanted song in your head and you want it out, start singing Tina Turner's Private Dancer in your head. It's a secret widely used among music producers. It just has a strange way of cancelling it's self out after a few runs.
Try it, you'll like it.

There is nothing more annoying than that. It usually happens to me with the tune but not the words and I just keep humming the tune. The worst one is the circu noise.

Yeah it happens to me ALL THE TIME.
Usually when I drive and something is on the radio, then I get out of the car and I can't get that song out of my head for the rest of the day.

That's why I hardly listen to radio for music anymore. Nothing but crap. I mean you all own CD's and mp3's right? Load up what you want to hear. I only listen to public and talk radio.

If I do listen to music, I'm just flipping between the two local classic rock clones.

Sometimes I will use that to my advantage. When I am doing something strenuous I will sometimes daydream or concentrate on a song in my head to divert my attention away from my own exhaustion or pain. Other times with that I usually just force myself to think of something else, sometimes another song that then will get stuck in your head to replace it, and if that doesn't work I just go with it. I always know it will go away sooner or later...at least I hope it will. :1orglaugh

Anyway, it's a song broadcasted by a radio show at 7:30 in the morning (& they call people who have to sing along). (for the dutch people, I think it's radio 538 (not sure though), but I'm 100 % sure it's Chiel Beelen who broadcasts it)
