Doom III

If your PC has the requirements to play this game, do yourself a favor as a horror fan and get it! This game has scared me more than any movie, making me jump out of my chair more than anything ever has before. The graphics are soo good it's hard to believe, especially with my Radeon 9800 pro, but it should work with some of the lower end cards, I think a 9500 is the min.
There are Demons, ZOMBIES!!, ghosts, inocent bystanders (sp?), all sorts of crazy satanic imagery, oh and did I mention demons and zombies!! The gamelay is intense and very suspensefull. It has all the frights and charms of the old dooms and then 2349872389 X's more. You constantly find yourself at the end of your seat pitifully searching darkened rooms for ammo and health with your dimly lit flash light. It also brings back all those classic weapons from the old doom, this time upgraded to superior ass kicking quality. You may also recognise a few classic Beasties that have returned, this time their serious!

Wolfenstein and those 1st person James Bond games. Kings Field II on the Playstation I went into the hospital for a couple days I got so sick. BUT I BEAT THE FUCKING GAME!!!! HAR HAR.

it's a great game.
dark, scarry and the 5.1 sound is wicked. been a few times it's managed to startle me...you'll hear nothing and see nothing then wham you take a hit and try and nail the sucker with the shotgun....

only a couple of bad things, it's definately a pig - you need a high end video card & decent hardware. I've got a 9700pro and it barely runs it 1024 or 1162 med/high quality.
and there's not much new, the same old Doom, run around and shoot em' up - not that it's a bad thing. but the graphics are amazing

I played the game for a little while on someone's comp. it's a little repetitive but spooky and the graphix are pretty nice. especially the lighting.

but i'm waiting for Half Life 2

I'm waiting for HL2 too. I won't play to Doom3 or HL2 untill I get a good Video Card and 1GB ram... I don't want to ruin my game experience cause of my computer "crappyness"

I play it since it´s release, it´s so awesome!
It´s everything i expected from it.
But also it´s a real test for my nerves, when i play it at night with my 5.1 headset in darkness, i endure it only 1 hour, but i made it ´til delta labs 4.

i'm waiting for the xbox version, i highly doubt my computer will be able to come close to handling it.

I broke a keyboard while playing Doom 2 cause a stupid Imp jumped in front of me when I was in a black room (not in the game, in my room lol) with the headphones... that was scary and funny at the same time hehe

if u want to be scared by a game, play Silent Hill... the higher number (SH1, SH2, etc..) the higher chances to shit in your undies
