Considering that the currently-produced Chrysler 300 is
not the 300M, I don't know how you make a direct comparison. The DTS is Cadillac's current full-size luxury sedan and the last 300M rolled off the assembly line in 2004.
That said, compared to its contemporary DeVille model back in 2004, I would take the 300M in a heartbeat. So would this website that offers up a review of the 300M, which rated it superior to not only the DeVille but also to the Lincoln Continental:

I own a 2002 300M with 120,000 miles on it and it still runs perfectly. An extremely comfortable, powerful and nimble sedan, it is (except for the 1964 Chevelle that I used to have) the best car I have ever owned. I hope to hang onto it for a long time to come.
As far as the present 300 version goes.....I don't like it. Its suspension is way too stiff, the hood is a mile long (feels like a WWII German Staff car when you drive it) and the visibility/sight lines are bad (small windows). Also, the seats are quite uncomfortable on long rides. The DTS blows it away but from a personal preference standpoint I would take the CTS over the DTS any day. It is just as luxurious and its smaller wheel-base and body give it a much sportier look and feel than the DTS....the DTS looks more like something your grandfather might drive.
Good topic, Scott!
