Racing is life... anything else is just waiting.
I was engaged to someone who was as close to a 10 as I could imagine (think Salma Hayek). She was working on her masters... so she was plenty smart. She was also a fantastic cook. And as she was working on a teaching certificate, she seemed to like kids (even though I've never cared for them). She even loved my favorite sport: Formula One... as well as my favorite driver of that time, Ayrton Senna da Silva. But she was also arrogant, shallow, haughty, had a mean little temper and had no regard for money: she was as spoiled as an egg laying out in the sun. But I blamed her parents for that.
The old saying is, for every single, gorgeous girl out there, there is a guy who just got tired of her shit. That's the best way I can describe our breakup. Though to be fair, I wasn't exactly Prince Charming back then either, so I'm sure the feeling was mutual.
These days (if I have to choose under the conditions in the OP), I'd much rather have an average looking girl, who has the qualities that go toward making a good relationship. And you can't build a relationship (just) based on looks - or at least I can't.
