Has any body been / going this year ?

If so what do you think. I haven't been to much so far this year, and since it is pissing down with rain today don't think i'll be doing much this evening.

Just looking to see what folks on freeones think & if anyone has any tips for good, but relatively unknown stand-ups who are performing this year

:)

Richard Herring's show 'Hitler Moustache' is meant to be one of the highlights. I wasn't able to go to the festival unfortunately but I've been following several reviewers, venues, and performers on Twitter. Hopefully I'll catch his show if he tours the country later in the year.

The Festival is usually shite I dont see the attraction about it , I have been a culture vulture at the thing before , the stand-up guys are usually the best about it , I dont go for all these stupid plays or listening to people talking shite about the most obscure things either & I hate all the wierdos running around in your face thinking there amazing........

I used to like going to the concerts at Meadowbank Stadium during the Festival as well but they dont seem to do it anymore , been to see the Foo Fighters , Razorlight , Keiser Chiefs and plenty more........

But I personally cant be bothered with it , its not my cup of tea

If Doug Stanhope is playing this year go and see him. If not then you're out of luck. I think he's a very funny guy.

aye, that's a good shout - don't think he's in town this year, but was a couple of years back,
did his own stuff & produced "the un-bookables" at the tron,
let's just say he & his friends like to keep things edgy :glugglug:

was a friend of the man in your sig, no ?

Not sure if they were friends (maybe, I haven't looked into it) but I'm sure he was a pretty big influence.

I saw him live a couple of years ago, great show

The more I look, the harder it gets!
I've already seen Adam Hills, got a T-shirt, met the man and got the t-shirt signed he is one of the funniest performers of the festival, i went to see Frankie Boyle a few years ago, but Adam just tops Frankie by an absolute mile!
