Eminem is definatly not the best but he is wayy up there. I would have to say that artist such as Notorious BIG and Tupac have somthing on him. He is one amazing rapper and i believe that if he actully (Like jay-z was supposed to leave) does leave, I will miss his songs. Hes a brilliant artist and brings rap away from that whole sex, drugs and bitches theme. I think that he said that he will still produce and help other artist but it wont be that same.

I think he's the best of this current generation. Lyrically anyway. His rhymes are extremely original, plus he may be the one rapper who doesn't rhyme 'hood' and 'good' in every single song he puts out. He also doesn't put out the club anthems all the time trying to sound all poppy. Just sticks to what he's good at.

How many other rappers have won the Grammy for best rap album, album of the year, song of the year and an Oscar for best song in a motion picture? ....Nobody else.

But best rapper overall - NO. That would be an insult to those rappers who are as good as (if not better than) Eminem, but never made the big time.
