The thing that is really putting me off this album is that stupid fucking accent he is putting on.

That is actually the thing that fucks it up....

A spanish accent is for hispanics and there's absolutely nothing wrong with that but when a white guy starts speakin' like that it's like wtf?! Reminds me of that My band video from D-12 where he was dressed as a Mexican and talkin' bout sweet salsa wtf?!

Since Eminem ceased to be mainly a voice of commiseration and passive aggressiveness (remember the nerd that got the shit beat out of him/decided to stop taking it?) he stopped entertaining me. The reason rap works a lot of times (popular rap) is the swagger with which it is delivered (it's pronounced muth-uh-fuck-uh). Eminem swaggering is like a runt constantly challenging you with a self-assurance that borders on embarassing (any one think they'd lose the fistfight?). It's annoying. I could write a bit on my issues with Eminem mainly because I used to like him so much--BUT--I'll never say his work isn't incredibly sound in terms of structure. Of course I also won't listen to anything new from him until I hear mention of "sounds like his early work" since it's so frustrating to hear such a great lyricist spout bullshit messages and propogate such an irritating personality. It's like he gave into a rotten part of his fanbase and became some twisted caricature of himself (that "crazy white boy" who "says crazy things").

Basically, if his personality/message matched his level of talent, the number of fans here might include me.

The song isn't too bad, the video is the usual stuff. But I don't like his voice in it, sounds like he's trying to put on a different accent.

I'm sure the rest of the album will be better.

I'm also very impressed he's managed to get back into such good shape, 6 months ago he was a fat bastard.

I don't know, I have heard three (I think) so far, and he's used that accent in more than just this song.

I think Eminem is an absolute genius based on his prior work. Lately his works doesnt nearly compare to the classic eminem. I think with every artist, eventually you run out of content and it's hard to be edgy and relevant especially since hes' been gone for so long. But I hope his new album's gonna be as good as the older ones.

I agree, it's extremely difficult to replicate the success he had earlier in his career, and certainly the lyrical content of his earlier days.
