End The Violence [in Video Games].

clearly the german government doesn't think parents can be parents. i understand putting a warning on a game letting parents know that their child will be killing folk in a game but in the end it's the parents responsibility to decide what their kids are allowed to do or to not do. however, i also know germany has some of the strictest laws on movies and musical content of any westernized nation so i suppose this doesn't entirely surprise me.

well with moives like saw doing so well at the moive box office that now they have thier own video game this year. well what does that really say about america dont get me worng i am fan of the series. but i think it got missunderstood by lot of people?

So what? Only the mentally disturbed are going to be affected by the violence in video games? What extent of mental instability? Who is to say which people are unstable and who isn't?

Why must people tend towards violence when there are alternatives?

If there is life, for instance, on other planets, are they considered mentally stable and good decent beings for entertaining themselves with violence? Have they maybe evolved past that? If so, how? What makes a race decide once for all to turn away from taking pleasure in harming another creature?

I do not understand why generation after generation must be exposed to any sort of violence. I do not get why violence must be considered part of the human condition, part of what we consider entertainment, part of what it is we must watch.

I do not see how humanity is ever going to evolve past the appetite for destruction unless someone somewhere decides against it.

Given their recent history, the case of Germany is always going to be complex (and interesting). They're trying to grapple with and overcome a lot of national baggage, so to speak.

Video games don't make people violent, lag does.
