because he didn't want to. He doesn't want to play in the big tournaments no more. A shame really cause he's a great player and one of my long time favorites.

A story about Van Nistelrooy. MUTV were doing an interview with him, talking of the rumours about him going to Real Madrid. The interviewer asked him of there were any truth in these rumours and Nistelrooy denied that he was going to Madrid. So the interviewer turned to the camera and said "So there you have it, straight from the horses mouth"
