Eye Glasses / Eye Test Inquiry...

ChefChiTown

The secret ingredient? MY BALLS
I used to wear glasses a few years back, but I haven't worn any since my last pair broke, which was probably in 2001 or 2002. When my last pair broke, I didn't feel like spending money on new frames, so I chose to go a while without wearing glasses. Well, I can't take it anymore and I'm going to go out soon and look for some new glasses. But, I also need an eye test. So, who wears glasses and what places would you recommend? I'm preferably looking for a place that I can get both an eye test AND order frames.

Any suggestions?

Ace Bandage

The one and only.
I have to wear glasses because I can't wear contacts - that would require putting something in my eye. If you try to do that, I'll fight you. And I damn sure can't put them in myself. Moving on though, I went to LensCrafters. I know they're mainstream, but they have a great selection. They were recommended by my insurance company and the Optometrist was very helpful. I did the vision test, ordered glasses, and picked them up on the same day.

In terms of choices, they have some high end frames and also some bargain selections. Also, they have a good selection of lenses - for example, mine have the anti-glare so that I can drive at night. I was very pleased with my glasses and they even replaced a pair that my niece stepped on. I highly recommend them.

I'm too lazy to set a usertitle.
Some Costcos have vision centers that do free eye exams.
