Favourite movie scene

Sweeper

In my dreams I have fucked Jenna Jameson.
The King Kong vs 3 T-Rex's scene in the new King Kong movie was amazing.

Storming the beaches in Saving Private Ryan was excellently done.

It was the way it was shot, that did it for me.
Hand held, shaky cameras, really gave you the feeling that you might be there.

When Jodie Foster hears the alien 'message' in Contact.

The opening sequence of Contact is a fave of mine - when our TV/radio signals travel out to deep space.

This always leaves me wondering:
TV programmes like "I love Lucy" and "The Ed Sullivan Show" has travelled about 50 light years by now (50 light years = 4.7302642 × 1017 meters) - that should mean someone on a planet orbiting star Mu Arae is receiving these signals (Mu Arae is approx. 49.83 light years from us).
So if there is life with a similar intellect to us within this range, why haven't we detected their "TV/radio" signals yet?

Note - following link is a map of every star within 50 light years visible with the naked eye from Earth

The scene in "On The Beach" when the submarine crewmen find the source of the erratic Morse-code signals, indicating survivors from WW3.

The closing scenes in that film are among my most chilling, however.

Rastagir

If you had 3 wishes, they'd all be Freeones.
The opening scene in "The Rock" and Bram Stoker's "Dracula", every John Woo action scene (Broken Arrow, the Killer and Face-Off rocked!), the ending scene from "Dead Poet's Society". Every killing scene in "The Crow" and every line in "The Blues Brothers". And finally, the scene from "Seven" when Brad Pitt and Morgan Freeman find that mummy-like corpse, which was very much alive! (...I had to change my underware at that time!)

We will be full of patience Mr Freeones!
The train crash scene from Unbreakable. You see the passengers, everything seems to become more and more quiet, Willis falling asleep and then BANG! This was totally unexpected the first time I saw it.
Also the scenes in which Willis can look into people when he's walking along and slightly touching them. Makes you wonder what kind of insane people are out there...

:hatsoff: Jackson

Dreamcatcher - the scene where Gary 'Jonesy' Jones (Damian Lewis) walks into the road without noticing the traffic lights and is promptly hit by a car.

No matter how many times I've watched the film, it catches me off-guard. A :wtf: moment if ever there is one (too bad the rest of the movie is crap, though).

Asian Knight

I need to clean my screen
When you first see D's extremely long blade in Vampire Hunter D. When you first notice the symbiote as well.

The part in the Street Fighter live action movie where Zengeif says "What, I'm a bad guy?" That scene got me laughing a lot. And the part where Jean Claude as Guile tells Ming Na Wen's Chun Li about the interview.

Chun Li: So now how about that interview?
Guile: Only if you'll wear that dress.

Thats only one of the things that got me hooked on Ming Na Wen. She's on my top 10 actress list. And yeah, I got a top 10 centerfold, pornstar, etc. Give me a category and I'll give it.

Getting back to the subject. When Kelly LeBrock first comes out of the closet in "Weird Science."

Actually it's the ending of Unbreakable - when Bruce Willis shakes hands with Samuel L Jackson, and the insanity of Sam's character is laid bare (another :wtf: moment for me),,,

Take a Hit, Spunker!
The roundtable scene in "The Untouchables" where DeNiro is talking about baseball and teamwork.

"Life goes on … a man becomes preeminent he is expected to have enthusiasms … enthusiasms … enthusiasms ….

What are mine? What draws my admiration? What is that that which gives me joy?

BASEBALL!

A man stands alone at the plate … This is the time for what?

For individual achievement.

There he stands alone, but in the field part of what? Part. Of. A. Team.

Looks, throws, catches, hustles, part of one big team. Bats himself to live long day, Babe Ruth, Ty Cobb and so on. If his team don’t field what is he? NO ONE!

Sunny day stands are full of fans, what does he have to say? I’m going out there for myself, but I get no where unless the TEAM wins."

Yes, that's a great scene. Here's something to the backround, from imdb.com:

"The scene in Cairo in which Indy just shoots a sword-wielding man was intended to be a long, choreographed fight scene featuring Indy's whip versus the Arab man's saber. Harrison Ford, suffering from dysentery after three months of filming in Tunisia, couldn't face the three additional days of filming and suggested that this much shorter version should be tried instead. Some sources attribute the idea to Steven Spielberg rather than to Ford. In the American Film Institute's tribute to Spielberg, Ford stated that, on the day of shooting, he begged Spielberg to find a way to get the scene done in less than two hours so he could get back to the hotel before a dysentery attack hit him. Spielberg said the only way they could complete the scene so quickly would be for Ford to "pull out your gun and shoot him." Crew members standing nearby began to laugh uncontrollably at the idea."

Deep Blue Sea
The scene where Samuel L Jackson is ranting about what to do about the problems, when the shark leaps out of the tank and snatches him, literally taking him underwater to be fish food. Good stuff.

Unexpected, but you got to admit that scene was flippin' hilarious. Nothing better than watching a guy in a flick rant and rave about his adventures and how they're going to live, to be eaten by a shark. :scream:
