Where is your favourite vacation spot and why?

I've never really been anywhere worth mentioning, but I'm planning on a nice vacation with some good food this fall. So lets hear them.

Southwest Florida for me. I always go at least a week in March, sometimes more. Venice is my favorite, but I’ve also been to Sarasota, Engelwood and Boca Grande.

There is nothing better than leaving the snow and ice and getting off the plan 2+ hours later in 80+ degree warmth. Me, family, friends, gf play golf, lay at the beach, eat fresh seafood, all the Florida stuff.

Italy! I went backpacking through Italy in college and it was great...Make sure to do off the path stuff. History is great but biking through Tuscan hills visiting a olive oil press, gilatos! The food! WOW! And Venice...can't be any more romantic city than Venice!

I loved Cabo San Lucas so much that I bought a place there in Punta Ballena and I always spend at least a week there a year.

Costa Rica is great too....vacationed on both coasts before and either suits me fine. Still considering whether to buy a small condo there.

Sorry about my previous post, I guess I didn't read all the way through the original thread.

I guess a lot depends on what you like to do.

I hear Vermont and New Hampshire are fantastic in the fall.

If you are in to beaches, the Caribbean is great, although if you go in early fall, it is still hurricane season. I suggest the Caymans, Virgin Islands or Bahamas.

Hawaii is great but costs a lot of coin.

I had a friend who had a blast in Savanna, Georgia last November.

i did the whole family trip BS when i was a kid, my dad hated it , it was just like work for him. then as i got older it did become work, me myself i like camping, it's harder but worth it. state parks, or my buddy has some land that has a stock pond and a car port{that is it) that we go to, but other then that no thank you. to much hassle to much of a job, for me anyways. my idea of a break is watching some t.v. and swimming in my pool. not fancy but it will do.

Nassau, Bahamas was a really nice trip for me. Great people, clean, not very expensive, great beaches, great shopping.

In a bell tower, watching you through cross hairs.
I'm not really hip to traveling, but...I went to Vermont, and Maine on my honeymoon, and I gotta say, I've never been to a more beautiful, quiet pair of place's...and the people were genuinely considerate, and kind hosts, in both states.
