Whats the matter are we having trouble with this Gangster movie classic? Bet if I had used the 1983 inferiror remake with the same title EVERYONE would know that one lol.

No it was Vince Barnett ... Angelo
Raft who supposedly having grown up in "hells kitchen" in NYC had real life gangster friends was almost as big a star (mostly gangster movies) as Cagney or Bogart.Raft became famous for turning down movie's which others became bigger stars in.The movie High Sierra was written for Raft but he refused it because he said I'm tired of always dying at the end of the movie.So they got Bogart instead and it was a big movie for him.
