Food Poisining

My avatar makes you horny!?
Has anyone gotten food poisining before?

I ate Subway a few hours ago and I ordered my sub with Southwest sauce. My friend behind me wanted some too but I took the last of it. 1 1/2 hours later I tell my friends I'm going home because I don't feel so good.

As I'm driving I feel sicker, and sicker until finally I pull over and YAAAAK like I've never done before. I mean violently throwing up. I went throught 4 water bottles and just kept going.

Then all of a sudden I feel like I'm high. Like ecstacy high. I'm fucking freaking out so I decide to drive to the hospital, and I'm boiling up so much that I actually fogged up my windows. I get into the hospital and I tell the lady my story and sshe tells me to wait. And I am just racing, feeling fucked! I was thinking that bitch at Subway who made my sandwich drugged me lol.

Then, about 40 mins of waiting in the hospital lobby, I finally begin to feel a little better, so I tell the receptionist to take me off the list.

As I'm typing this I still feel like I'm coming off an ecstacy buzz. Has anyone ever experienced this before?

Oh, and another thing. How long do you typically wait in the hospital before you see a doctor? The receptionist told me the average wait time is 3-4 hours. Fucking ridiculous system they have here in Canada.

Never done ecstasy so I couldn't tell you but if you are heaving really bad all night and get serious diarrhea as well and then tomorrow about noon you feel a whole lot better, it's food poisoning.

Oh.....and 3-4 hours to wait at the E-room? That's riding the express lane here in the USA because so many people have to use it as their primary care option since they don't have health insurance.

I feel for you, bud, I ate half a bag of pork rinds once and the next morning, well, for some reason I couldn't take my morning dump and my stomach felt like it was a cement mixer, going around and around, like nothing was passing from the stomach into the intestines....then lunch time came around and right after that I couldn't stop puking, left work early and just in the drive home I started burning up with fever. I didn't go to a doctor or anything, I knew that all I had to do was, well, let nature run its course, I just took a sick day the following day and was able to keep food down that time but it was still an awful day. And, no, I didn't feel a buzz or anything.

i waited 7 hours and then went home last easter here in montreal, came back the next day and had seen a doc in only half an hour.

i had something similar from mcdonalds once (mouth was swollen to gigantic proportions for a week), but didn't go to the doctor. i only go when something bleeds or when there is no alternative. i don't mind hospitals but i hate feeling like a whiny baby.

Food poisoning is the worst, i have never felt "high" though.
I have got pretty bad cases of it before, good luck.

I'm too lazy to set a usertitle.
I had something similar to cholera when I was 13. I puked like a faucet and had water ass for the better part of a week. I had a fever, was nauseous, and I could hardly get out of bed all week. I had to take antibiotics. After 4 days I started feeling better.

Other than that, I'm allergic to chitin. If I eat shrimp without peeling it first I break out in big, itchy bumps on my face, neck, chest, and arms. It usually goes away after I drink a couple glasses of milk.

Thank You, JAG85

You make the point that I have been trying to make for damn near ever.

Food poisoning in the broad spectrum can create all sorts of differing symptoms. I think that your feeling like coming down off of X was purely coincidental. JMO, YMMV.
Varying germs and contaminants can also take differing times to physically make you sick as well. Sometimes you can get sick quickly, other times not.

If you believe in good karma, I'd report your sickness to your local health department. This particular operator might need visiting from one of the few good bureaucracies in govt. lol, provided they do their jobs accordingly
and conscientiously, that is.

I have had food poisoning before. We went out one night and at 2 am someone said let's go to Denny's. My friend Nick and I both ordered the same thin. The next day I wake up so sick. I called Nick and he was sick too. I go see my GP and he said I have food poisoning. The doctor said I will feel better in about three days. It felt like a bad flu.

I have never heard of anyone feeling like they were coming off a high from food poisoning. You are normally throwing up and feeling like crap. If you really thought you were drugged you should have stayed and had the hospital draw blood.

Yeah I was definetly high, I could barely drive. And I felt some of the same symptoms as an ecstacy/shroom buzz.

I remember someone told me that Magic mushrooms are kind of like food poisining...not too sure how true that is. Also, I remember watching the Soprano's and Tony got food poisining and he started to halucinate...or have weird dreams...either/or.

And I don't have the runs at all, which many of you say food poisining does. Right now (about 7 hours after I ate that) I feel fine. My stomach is alright and it just feels like I did some drugs earlier.

This was truly a weird experience.

You lucky bastard! people pay good money to feel like that!

yes, that's true. You usually feel a but of an upset stomach, but you shouldn't really feel ill. Just eat some tums. I've heard people say that they've puked after eating them, but they probably did too much at one time.

incidentally, I did get food poisoning once from mushrooms, the non-magical variety, and the effect was like Red Sypder and others here have said.

pool_hustler

Be careful what you wish for, it might come true!
I've had it twice. Both times the buildup was similar to the stomach flu but the actual sickness was more violent and of shorter duration, very much the way jagger69 described it.
