No, I get that and I agree, this case has no merit, but she didn't file suit until after the video was released. So, if she was scamming the mall owners, she must had had reason to expect that A) she'd be caught on camera and B) it'd be released. Otherwise she would have to feign injury to document her fall.
The footage that hit the web was taken by a security guard's camera. It wasn't even directly from the mall's CCTV feed. It was 2nd gen.
So unless she's in cahoots with whomever took and leaked that footage (who lost their job) I see no scam....just a really stupid woman who saw an opportunity (when the leaked footage went viral) and called an attorney. Maybe it was a really poorly attempt at a scam and this current suit is Plan C, but that requires a lot of speculation without much basis.
