I hope someone murders his ass in prison. I'm so pissed still about this incident and it happened over 24 hours ago.

The breakdown:
3 deaths, 1 injured and he can only get a max of 55 years?

That's fucking bullshit in my opinion.
1. 2nd time driving drunk
2. suspended license (from the first one)
3. 3x the legal limit

Nick Adenhart finally made it to the majors. Some bitch takes it away and gets a 3rd chance. While Nick Adenhart and two of his friends get no second chance. They didn't even make the mistake.

I agree. If a guy goes to a public place with a gun and shot 3 people dead, he gets the death penalty, yet this guy who murdered 3 people with his car isn't even qualified for life in prison. Something's seriously wrong with our judicial system.

Ummm. I definitely think its fucked up and its a shame what happened to those guys. but hell I bet at least 75% of our FO's members that post on these message boards have been guilty of DRINKING AND DRIVING more times than we care to count? :shock: nothing to gloat about nor would I say most of US that got away with it are in the least bit proud of that fact.

but the difference is we got away with it and did it without hurting ANYONE or ourselves in most cases most of the time. maybe you fucked up your car or whatever the outcome was. :dunno: but we all got away with it, without incident. Well unfortunately this FUCKHEAD fucked up majorly! :yesyes: and until our licenses get suspended or banned for 5 years /offense. DRUNKARDS are still gonna drink and drive until they kill someone or themselves.

So I don't know when or where it will end? either the law has to eradicate it. or technology has to prevent it. Maybe make a car that will not operate if it senses the smell of alcohol on our breaths or maybe invent a rear view mirror that can detect drunkenness by scanning our eyes or something? :helpme:

I have been guilty of driving when I shouldn't have. Thank God nothing happened to anyone else or myself. But I agree with the OP that this is bullshit......dude is getting off light.

I like the idea of making a car that will not start if it detects alcohol on your breath. Would pretty much stem the tide right there.

For me it's a little bit frustrating but in the eyes of the law that was a just sentence!!

If you drink, drive and kill someone you should get life. But with that said, why is it more tragic because one of the people he killed is a Major League pitcher? What about some asshole killing a mother and two kids. What about someone slamming into a cop on the side of the road doing his/her duty. It's sad but it happens all the time.

About how everybody drinks and drives, yeah thats probably true. I will admit that I have aimlessly driven around after having a couple of beers. Was I incapacitated to the point where I cant make out my surroundings? No, its the fuckheads who cant see straight and cant walk a few steps before falling down are the idiots who should be locked up. As for the punishment for the drunk, I say run him over a couple of times and then lock him up.

I agree with you wholeheartedly. The thing that gets me is that it's the drunks that always walk away, and the innocent hurt. Adenhart had a bright career ahead of him, and it's beyond sad that we'll never get to see how good he'd be.

Considering he's facing 3 charges of murder, in addition to 3 other felony counts? Pretty light in comparison to many other cases.

I would agree with you, but when someone dies in an organization you have followed most of your life it's just difficult to deal with.

It's not just some random person dying. It's much easier not to give a damn when it's someone random.
