To me as long as those moronic religious and anti-porn groups (most of the time it is a combination of both) don't get what they want which is to make porn illegal then I imagine that porn could still have a good future. Porn has been around in many forms longer than every current religion in the world and hopefully will still be around in one form or another.
As I'm lead to believe there has been a sharp decline in the sales of porn DVD/videos over the past few years. Also, memberships to porn sites has equally declined. This could be the precursor to the end of commercialised porn!
There are a few possible reasons for that. Porn DVDs and videos are not produced in huge quanities anymore and I remember reading somewhere that all of the porn companies are considering to stop making DVDs/ Blurays etc altogether and make them available to download online in either DVD/Blu-ray format type of files, avi, mpegs and wmv on their websites so you can download them and if you wish you can burn them onto a blank DVD or a blank Blu-ray disc.
As for memberships to porn sites, one reason is because of the religious and anti-porn groups limiting the availability of access to porn sites in different countries, states and counties. Another reason is because of credit cards, nearly every porn site and their sales agents such as CCBill for example think that everyone has a credit card but the truth is credit cards are hard to apply for these days for various reasons and because of that the memberships of porn sites have decreased not to mention alot of porn sites never update much anymore. As long as those things are fixed like a pay/sales agent will accept different credit cards and debit cards from all over the world then I imagine memberships of porn sites will increase. There are probably other reasons too.
