G. Gordon Liddy Uses "Menstruation" to Attack Sonia Sotomayor

Radio host, G. Gordon Liddy attacked President Obama's Supreme Court nominee in perhaps one of the most grotesque tirades in recent times. "Let’s hope that the key conferences aren’t when she’s menstruating or something, or just before she’s going to menstruate," Liddy said. "That would really be bad. Lord knows what we would get then."

Liddy is no stranger to controversy -- in fact, he spent four years in jail for his role in the Nixon-era Watergate burglaries. His radio show is syndicated in 160 markets and on the Sirius Radio network.

Liddy also attacked Sotomayor for her affiliation with La Raza, a Hispanic civil rights group (which was also maligned Thursday by former GOP Rep. Tom Tancredo, who called it the Latino KKK). Liddy referred to the Spanish language as "illegal alien." "I understand that they found out today that Miss Sotomayor is a member of La Raza, which means in illegal alien, 'the race,'" Liddy quipped. "And that should not surprise anyone because she’s already on record with a number of racist comments."

What the hell does menstruation have to do with anything? What a moron! There is no need to use her gender or race to oppose her nomination. Her beliefs are good enough reason to do so. Her own statements show that she will NOT be an impartial judge and that she believes that the Supreme Court makes the laws. For those of you who got an F in government class in high school, laws are made by congress, or just remember the old "I'm only a bill" song from those saturday morning cartoons.

The conservative radio host are gonna lose this one and it's making them look really stupid. The best thing they can come up with is:

1. a joke she said in a party as a joke something about "policies are made in the court of appeals"

2. something she said about "a latina being more capable than a white male"

One was just a jokea freaking joke, two it's not a very nice thing for her to say in fact it is a racist thing to say, but who really in the goverment never said anything stupid or had somewhat borderline racist thought, only they themselves can tell. Other than if her tax record is ok, I don't think she's gonna have any problems getting approved. After all cons need to get it through their heads that is just a liberal replacing a liberal.

I see that, but the thing is no one is pure and perfect in what they say, my problem would be if she had tax problems. Other than that it's a sure thing. They lost this case and it makes them look really bad.

I guarantee if a white man or woman had made this kind of statement, they would have been an outcry by the media and the left wing liberals and she would have been instantly disqualified.

I didn't know G. Gordan Liddy was still on the radio.

I listen to some talk radio and even Rush Limbaugh has said there is little or no chance of the Republicans stopping her from being confirmed by the Senate.

No radio host will be on the air for an extended period (no pun intended) of time if he doesn't say something so outlandish that he makes the news. Some people will now want her to defend herself against these irrational statements. I don't remember anyone bringing up menstruation during the Sandra Day O'Connor confirmations. Why do these white male radio hosts always think there is some conspiracy going on? Does her hidden agenda clash with his?

Sad to say but I wonder how many of the current justices had said of the record or perharps even had thoughts of racist comments. If that the case then let's go after Obama himself when he described on how his grandma would not walk on the same sidewalk that a black person would. Like I say they are not perfect, these days it all depends on what you say when you say it and who is there recording it. Stuff that I hear sometimes at work if I really look into it you will be surprise on how people say racist stuff in the way they speak.
