Genetic map of Europe

Well, to quote myself:

But we're not talking about a period of five years here, we're talking about centuries. Of course it would be difficult to judge, but no overlap between D2 and I1 and I2 at all is at least as unlikely as an overlap of say 50%.

Don't think it was necessasy to quote my rather large posting just to point out something I said in different words. ;)

You make a good point. I don't see how that's possible either. Makes me kind of wonder if all this scientific data isn't bullshit. Not saying it isn't true. I'm just saying there shouldn't be any problem with being skeptical about everything that is put out there.

I love big booty too!
And they needed to study thousands of years to find out the Europeans are 'very mixed'? I (Dutch) just have to go back 100 years in my family and find Swedish, Belgians, French, German, Jewish and Italian forefathers. Apart from that lots of Dutch have somehow distant or close Indo ties thanks to our 3 century presence in Indonesia.

And when I look at my relatives and friends they are a perfect example of the multicultural and colourful city I live in. In short I consider this study a total waste of governmental money.

Maybe they can do a study how to conquer xenofobism (unfortunately very widespread in the city the Erasmus university is based) instead?
