Fuck it, I'm not arguing this shit. If you believe Zimmerman, great. I don't, and his actions since his acquittal aren't making him any more believable.

True. We have to rely solely on Zimmerman's account during that time frame. But the location of the shooting in relation to Zimmerman's parked vehicle and where Trayvon was staying seem to support his claim. And whether this all could've been avoided is a separate issue from whether the actual shooting was justified in the moment.

Correct. However, there were 2 minutes and 28 seconds that transpired between the time Zimmerman hung up from the police dispatcher and time that the first 911 call came in. And, in a taped reenactment, Zimmerman described how Martin accosted him and for no apparent reason just ran up to him and started kicking his ass. Possible? Sure it is. Likely? Or, more pertinent to the outcome of the verdict, certain?? That's where it gets fuzzy.

Of course, the jury had to acquit him since there was no one left alive who could refute his testimony (and that was indeed the correct decision considering the evidence). However, what words were really exchanged and what events actually transpired behind those condos in the dark and the rain that night are definitely open to speculation.
