Stacey's post does accurately sum up the situation, but it neglects to mention that the one thing they all have in common without fail, no matter how they feel about the job, they are all doing it because it is a job IE: to make money.

Of course that's their first priority, Cal.
But that doesn't exclude the possibility of them finding friends or even romance while at work.

There are hustlers in all walks of life....including strip clubs (surprise!).

From personal experience, I've had varying degrees of relationships with several strippers from mere acquaintances, friendships, pure sex to a multi-year, live in relationship. I met all but 2 in strip clubs.

Most of these chicks don't stop being regular women with regular women wants and needs just because they strip. Depending on their lifestyle, they have sex and relationship wants and needs too. Certainly they don't go to work looking for a relationship with a guy they meet there but it absolutely depends on your approach.

Frankly, if you go into a strip club and grab up the first two or three chicks and do a ton of lap dances and the most interesting thing about you is the drool sliding down your chin...you are a customer to them and they are a fantasy to you. They will most likely want to keep it that way and the biggest way to upset that is by ruining the fantasy and doing stuff with you outside of the club.

There are some chicks who play for pay outside the club by doing "private parties/shows" with just you and her.

There are some chicks who don't want to date anyone seriously while they dance for their own, obvious reasons. The point is most of them are just regular chicks from what I've seen.

Honestly, with some chicks a $20 (or whatever) tip out of nowhere without a lap dance gets you more mileage and credibility with them than a $100 worth of lap dances would.

Never loan or give money to anyone you don't know well enough to trust...stripper or otherwise. Never loan or give more money to someone than you're willing to walk away from. Live by those rules and you likely won't feel or get duped by anyone.

As in Brother Bodie's situation, I too have made friends at a strip club. I never asked for any lap dances, and she didn't offer. We just started talking, and I came back a few times, and then I started hanging out with her and going to her apartment. The reason why we're no longer friends is because she let her deadbeat boyfriend get her pregnant and told me she was gonna get an abortion, which I am vehemently against, so we just kind of stopped speaking to each other. She never tried to con me out of any money.

well i am 18 years old and i've been to a strip club many times, but never have i met any strippers who are nasty or seem to not care about their customers, so i have never been or seen anyone rolled by a stripper.

I used to work in a strip club (as a bartender) It had a decent sized staff (30+dancers) The only thing I can really say about this topic is that no matter where you go, you are getting a cross section of society. There really are girls paying for college. Some are there because of a lack of usable work skills. And one or two that will get away with whatever they can before getting caught. As far as anyone getting rolled, I only knew of one girl that tried it and failed.
As far as strippers not being your friends, it depends on the approach. If you walk in a treat someone like a piece of meat, don't be surprised or upset when they get bored with you after you run out of money.
On a personal note, tip the waitresses and bartenders. Without them, you have to wait a long time for that $10 beer :tongue:

My good friend rolled a stripper. He met her at the local joint, started dating her, and they've been together for about 2 years now, living together and the whole 9.

She was stripping a few days a week to pay for college, and she actually graduated and is an RN now. She wasn't the hottest of the bunch but has a nice rack. They seem pretty damn happy and I know this isn't the norm, but it was crazy to witness first hand.

Kind of weird now though because we all saw her tits & ass back when we were all going to the titty bar together. Once they started dating, I didn't go anymore when she was working.

Thanks for the warning. Not that I go to strip clubs, just in Mexico. One of my rules is never give/lend money to strangers in that kind of setting.
