What I'd like to know is if the girl is genuinely sorry for what she did or not... If not, she is and will be a danger to society and the key to her cell should be thrown away IMHO.

Still, prison will not be her only punishment. I hope she has finally seen the light and has figuerd out the guy she wanted is a scumbag and doesn't want him anymore. Besides that guy, I doubt there are many men who'd risk dating her, so I assume she's going to lead a very lonely life as soon as she gets out of prison. (of course this assumption is based on my hope & common sense of other guys)

I don't know man there is a difference between "violence" and being stern with your children when they are misbehaving.

Anything more than a spanking is violence IMHO... but these days many parents think even that is too much & prefer sending a kid to his or her room as a punishment, where they usually have a TV, game computer (WII or PlayStation 3 or ...), radio & everything else the kid could ever want (playing outside with friends apparently isn't much fun any more these days)...

The games on the computer tend to contain a lot of violence (parents often aren't even aware of that & if they are, they don't care) & tv shows contain the same amount of violence (think x-men, transformers, dragonball, heck, even superman is relatively violent)...

One really wonders how kids these days end up so violent & no longer have any respect for anything or anyone...

I liked the idea that Jagger had for awhile. Putting a prison out on an island somewhere and letting them rot out there. But it would only be a matter of time before one of these scum manages to break out and swim somewhere where they could hurt more people.

I think we should take about 20 of these folks, dump them on an island, and tell them the last one standing gets an extra year of life......before they have to do it all over again.
