Disc release of God of War 1 & 2 as a package for playstation 3 this holiday. Remastered meaning runs in hd 720p,2x antialiasing added,upgraded textures and bumped up to 60fps framerate.

Dev talks about it on IGN.com. Fucking stoked cause I bought GOW 1 n 2 only to learn that my ps3 wasnt Backwards compatible. I was gonna buy a
ps2 just for these games if they didnt do this before GOW3 came out. I never played GOW and always loved how they are glorified ultra hype machined.

that's awesome i've been a fan of God of War since it first came out. i ended part 1 & 2 and those are classics can't wait for part 3.

I'm getting this on day 1 , I didn't have a ps2 anymore when the 2 god of war games came out so I definitely want to plsy them before the third game comes out.

No they should have brought it to the 360.. Look at Tomb Raider and Final Fantasy both were just PS3 titles but did great when released for Xbox

That's not what he meant. God of War would never be brought to XBOX because it is a first party title. Tomb Raider and Final Fantasy are third party titles and could effectively go to any console that the publisher wants.

That's one of the main things that has me interested in this. Been needing a GOW fix since 2 and the demo got me thinking about it again. Was thinking of going through the first two on hardest difficulty when I'm not doing anything one weekend, might as well wait for this collection now.

i have both ps2 games, and i can play them on my ps3, so i wont bother buying it just for some better graphics. but i cant wait for the new GoW3.

thats very reasonable! people will buy this just for the GoW3 demo,believe it. I never played the first 2 so I'm psyched for this release just like any other
new ps3 release.....

I'm sending this back to G'fly monday for something else. Dont get me wrong its a terrific game but I cant swallow the ps2 graphics. After playing stuff like Gears,Uncharted,killzone2,Call of dookie etc the last 4 yrs,the graphics are a turn off. Fuck it,I dont care that I wont know the story when GodOFwar3 comes out. When you look at the graphics in the GOW3 demo you forget about everything......
