Goodbye to Microsoft Messenger

If you've got outlook express and find that on opening this it signs you in to Microsoft messenger then this will stop it - by getting it off your PC! It's one of those things that pisses me off and is also a form a spyware! This is also different to MSN Messenger so don't worry this will not be affected!

I know a lot of you are computer masters anyway but thought this may be of some use.

We will be full of patience Mr Freeones!
Ric0chet I just got a new system a few days ago that had XP pro with the first service pack. I noticed that MSN messenger poped up everytime I used Outlook.
This lil program worked like a charm, great find man.. thanks a ton.

Hell i DO NOT use Internet Explorer anymore, its not even on any of my home PC's (i have 3) I use the Mozilla browser, i find it to be faster, and it has built in spyware blockers and pop up blocker. I have not had spyware on my pc's for at least a year now, i reccomend the browser to anyone who wants to dump IE.

It does have to do with the browser, IE doesnt have a pop up blocker or spyware blockers on it. Mozilla does. Unless you can explain why it has nothing to do with the browser....just saying it doesnt have anything to do with it tells me nothing, explain to me WHY it has nothing to do with the browser .

Because Microsoft Outlook is an e-mail program. Not an Internet browser. When they open Microsoft Outlook Microsoft Messenger pops up.

Its not a pop-up its just that the programs open together. Its annoying.

Least thats what I got out of it. It has nothing to do with the internet.

Ok let me clear this up....i wasnt saying anything about outlook express(i know it has nothing to do with the net) , i was just making a comment on internet explorer, and my disdain for Microsoft, seems we got a bit confused, i should have made that clear in my post, sorry for the confusion.

Xp-AntiSpy disables messenger and alot of other crap.. Good Program

Not sure if this is 100% as adaware has a plug in which states it disables windows messenger but I used it and it didn't actually work so it's probably trial and error with these types of blocker.
