Man, I didn't see that coming - sounds like nobody else did either. Stunning upset and even the stock market blinked at the news today. I couldn't stand Cantor. But seeing one wingnut (probably the next Speaker of the House) get taken out by an even bigger wingnut makes me wonder where we are headed, as a functioning republic, going forward. The Tea Party is the best thing to ever happen to the Democrats. As soon as the Dems do something that makes my blood pressure soar, the Tea baggers pop up out of their hole and say or do something even dumber than the Dems. God help us all.

I've gotta go with this. Career politicians have to go. Congress is the first place to start. 2 year to come up with ideas to show your stuff. Show your stuff and the people make a choice. Shit or get off the pot when it comes to making things happen. Radicals that are off the pace of progress get the fuck out. So you want to elect another radical to take his place? Elect them and see what progress they make. 2 years later and see if they can come up with some compromises. If you live in a district devoted to moving the same shit though and still doesn't get it done then find another shithead and continue to watch nothing getting done for you. Priorities shift when situations come up. There is nothing wrong with being flexible. I don't like being flexible synonymous as caving in. The problem being that those on the far left and right don't know when to pick their fights. Everything has to be attached to a splinter of a fucking issue that funds their campaign. Congressmen will say anything to anybody that will write a check to their next campaign.

Lots of you folks in Illinois complain about our congressmen from NJ. Vermont people complain about Virginia congressmen. Etc, etc, etc. Well, each of us have to take care of our own shit. And we all have different shit to be concerned with. Your cattle in Colorado don't give a rat's ass about our cars in NY and visa versa. We all have to solve our own shit. Do it on the local level before you bring it up to the federal level.
