There are those who consider the whole plot to have been a massive conspiracy to discredit the Catholics.My history teacher was very keen on this-for example where did the gunpowder come from? It had to be from the Tower of London at the time. How were co conspirators arrested the same day halfway across the country in the days of horse travel and appalling roads? An interesting topic.

Yes, gone is the time or right and wrong, now is the time of disgusting acceptance and understanding.....even if it is wrong. I suppose burning effigies isn't a nice thing to do anymore, unless you're militant muslim, then it's ok.
