Many are there legally, but a very large number are not. And the vast majority of those illegal Polish immigrants the U.S. govt. has information on. You know the answer The poles look like what some of the majority thinks "real" americans look like.Let me tell ya living here in NJ I have seen plenty of different groups come through as new residents in my 50 years.The hispanics by and large are just as hard working and all that as any, as are the poles I have met and worked with also.

Immigrant groups work even harder, even longer hours, they are far less "lazy" than our full-blooded "real Americans" haha, because they have to be, to survive, on lower wages, with tougher situations (in general) and often paid less than minimum wage.

Now as for the language thing. If I were to move to a non english speaking country like say germany or russia or thailand :lovecoupl I would be expected to learn their language. However if I were just a tourist, I would only need to learn minimal amounts. This is what I'm saying here. If mexicans want to come to this country to live and work and go to school, then fine. But they can do it leagaly and while learning the language! I'm not saying this kid is an illegal, I'm sure he's not, but he should learn english if he expects to live here!

the continual dumbing-down of our educational system and the increasing banality of popular culture are just two trends we can trace to a sick source.

That source is Welsh people. They are right out in the open. Society has become so Welsh that most people don't even recognize Welshness when it's right in front of their face.

Very good point. I am all for immigration as long as you make the effort to learn the language. No matter what God damn country you come from. I touched on this point in my first post on this thread. You can still speak Spanish or Polish or whatever to fellow speakers of that language, in public or private. I have no problem with that, they will always likely feel more comfortable speaking in their native tongue. But know English for God sake! It will only help them to get better jobs and interact with people.
