Has Anyone Tried These "Smokeless" Cigarettes?

I have a good friend of mine who had been a 30-plus year smoker and he quit in just a couple of days by switching to these. I haven't smoked for over 7 years but I tried one of these and it was amazing! Literally, just like smoking a real cigarette without the unpleasant side-effects. Any smokers here try these? If not, give 'em a shot if you want to quit. My friend said it was easy.

I've tried them. They were too "clean," for me if that makes sense. When I smoke I need something that I can feel killing me. Plus, I think I was averse to it, mainly, because I really don't have the desire to quit. Pretty good aide for those who do, I suppose. Just didn't really seem enough like a cigarette for my liking.

I have a few friends who swear by these smokeless ciggs... Apparently it's like you said-- the best of what you enjoy while smoking minus the crap we all wish didn't come along with lighting up! As with anything though, if it sounds too good to be true-- it probably is! I'm thinking this probably isn't an exception.. My guess would be in the next few years some bizarre side effect will surface and there will be a new ultra cool seemingly harmless product for us to all gush over (and run out to spend a ton of our money on!)... I'm going to pass on the smokeless smokes. At least with legit ciggs I know what I'm getting myself into!

It helps, but they're so cumbersome and heavy, so it's not really filling the ritual void. The best I did at quitting was alternating between snus and cigarettes.

I never smoked in my life. I do know a few people who have tried these smokeless, battery operated cigarettes and have found success in them.

I would highly recommend them to anyone who is serious about quitting.

There are so many different types of smokeless or "e cigarettes"... anyone who is considering trying these out I would recommend going to the mall, around here you can always find someone with a little shop setup that is selling them, there you can try them out just to make sure you won't be wasting 100 bucks. As others said in this thread it's a lot different then actually smoking, so don't waste your money!

I smoked Newports for 25 years. This Past November first has been one year that I quit!!!!!!!!
I use the e cigarettes, NJOY. Medium nicotine intake, without the 9000 other harmful chemicals. They are a pain in the ass to charge the batteries and order liquid and cartridges, however much cheaper in the long run.
I believe they may have saved my life.
I feel great, no more cough or tiring going up stairs. Nurse says the nicotine is just a mild stimulant. The cancer and heart disease comes from tar,carbon monoxide and the other 9000 chemicals.
I amsure they are much less harmful, but perfect? Who knows?
I tried EVERY other drug, patch and program that failed. E cigs work for me. Just google them and decide for yourself.
