Has Ellen Pao Castrated the Feminist Movement?

BeatMan

Say hello to my little friend!
http://newsmachete.com/?news=780

Ellen Pao has dealt a decided blow to the feminist movement, in an unintentionally self-inflicted way. Pao, a former senior employee of the venture capital firm Kleiner Perkins, sued claiming gender discrimination after she (like most other employees) were passed over for partnership. She lost her lawsuit, in part because the trial revealed she had actually benefitted from favoritism and, despite her busy work schedule she still found the time to have an adulterous relationship with another married partner.

After losing the case instead of being disgraced she was held up as a feminist icon. You could not turn to the homepage of the Washington post or the Huffington Post for weeks without seeing her confused, owlish looking face with thick glasses making wise pronouncements on issues of the day, including the belief that women aren't strong enough to negotiate their own salaries.

And now Pao has just been forced out as the CEO of the popular message board website Reddit. Chairman Pao, as she is sometimes called, got into trouble when she fired a popular female employee without explanation. So the feminist icon was forced out because she mistreated another woman.

So what has Pao done for the feminist cause?

1) She has let the nation know that many so called "gender discrimination" lawsuits are actually without merit, and are just tools used by some women to extort money from their former employers.

2) She was held up as a business leader who could succeed, if not for gender discrimination, and now she has been shown to be a complete failure.

3) She has been exposed as a hypocrite, a symbol of oppressed women who herself oppresses women.

and

4) She has made employers think twice about hiring women because of the fear that some of them might turn out to be litigious extortionsists like her.

With feminist heroes like these, do you think they need enemies?

She hasn't done any damage. Liberal sites are spinning this as we speak. The Rolling Stone "journalist" who ran that hoax rape story did more damage to feminists.

Yes, I've followed the saga of Chairmyn Pao (I think those of her ilk spell it with a "y", instead of an "a" - like "womyn" instead of "women") fairly closely. She started out on the wrong foot at Kleiner Perkins by being arrogant, abrasive and hard to work with (so no one wanted her in meetings that dealt with clients - cause clients didn't like her either). So, she couldn't make partner because she wasn't able to make deals. That's kinda what a person would need to be able to do at a private equity shop... unless you're "special", like Ellen. Then they should make you a partner, no matter what. Comrade Sheryl Sandberg, I believe it was, mentioned her when she went on her "Ban Bossy" rant. And at some point, dear Ellen fell into a sexual affair with one of her coworkers (that was clearly one desperate dude). I don't know if he broke up with her or she broke up with him (since she's now a proven liar, who knows?), but that just further damaged her already sad reputation at Kleiner. So she was out. Then she sued. Then she lost her (nuisance) suit. Then the judge told her to pay Kleiner's legal bill ($276K), since it was a baseless suit. In the meantime, in the interest of political correctness, Reddit hired her to be CEO, even though she didn't have the management skills of a pimply faced kid working as an assistant night manager at McDonald's. One of her first great epiphanies was to announce that no one could negotiate for raises from now on, because (her words, not mine), women were not as good as men at negotiating, so there would be no more negotiating. Imagine if a man had said that we would no longer have any more women at the State Department, because women were unfit to be negotiators, compared to men.

And to put a candle on her femi-fascist cake, then she started firing popular people and harassing moderators at Reddit (including a couple of women who would not recognize her queendom). But then, the community turned on her and Reddit had to make up a story that she was leaving by mutual agreement. No, she was fired. She was a rolling disaster from Day 1 and she damaged the company. So she is now THE poster girl for what happens when people are put into positions for political (correctness) reasons and not for reasons of merit.

I understand they've lowered the flag in front of Feminazi HQ today. Very sad day. Very sad.

Poor Chairmyn Pao. She wanted $160 million, said she'd settle for $16 million (I believe) and ended up with a judgement against her for over a quarter of a million dollars. Then she got fired. Wow, you're having a rough year, Ellen. Good! Hopefully your sad fate will teach young girls to work hard and seek justice, and not cry wolf and make themselves out to be victims whenever it's convenient. You have not advanced the cause of gender equality, because you weren't seeking equality. You were seeking special treatment. You and those like you are horrible role models for young women... and young men too. You're just a horrible, whiny person all the way around.

Here's an idea, maybe Jackie Coakley can become the new CEO of Reddit. I mean, she's an even better liar than Chairmyn Pao. Her lies even include imaginary people doing things in imaginary places. She's good... damn good!
