Yeah, I don't get it either. He lost because the other guy had a better suit. That's like laughing at a race car driver because he doesn't have the best equipment. You can't really blame Phelps for this. Wait until 2010, no one will come close to him then.

You know that is a good question and he seemed to be pissed too when I saw the report on Sportscenter he looked really mad in the pictures but the thing about it is he finished a second behind him without the suit th guy is a really good swimmer his first loss in four years hell he is doing something right

those suits are engineered so perfectly to add speed, its completey unfair to swimmers without them. I agree with the ban on those suits.

Swimming has gotten to the point where its what suit you wear and how well its made that makes a difference, not just strength, skill, endurance.

What I don't get is why any swimming organization would let anybody wear any kind of performance enhancing special suits in the first place. They should have nipped that in the bud years ago.
