Just broke down and got a 42" LG TV- had a question... I can't afford digital cable as of yet- I might get my cable company's HD receiver box in a few months. Does the back of the TV have a jack where I can just screw in the coaxial cable out of the wall to it- like my old TV - or am I required to have the HD receiver box...TY

If your TV is (Full) HD ready and has a built in digital cable receiver (both is standard for new TVs) then you're actually ready to go. 
I can just put the cable to my TV and watch HDTV.
Different story is when you wanna watch pay TV (like Sky in Germany. Dunno what you have) where you need one of those smart cards or whatever they're called. Then you most likely need a receiver box.

Sky and Virgin surely aren't that expensive, or is that just in britian you get those.
