Help! Project Gotham Racing glitch xbox version

I recently bought the first PGR for £1, everything works except the kudos total is stuck at 14893, whichever mode or track I race makes no different, the kudos I get in the race don't get added onto the total amount. Is there a way to fix it?

Sorry... I thought I might be able to help, but I've never heard of that problem! I don't know how many hours you've already put into the game, but does it happen if you delete the save, and then start over from the beginning?

I haven't tried that, I put a lot of hours getting from nothing to this far and I don't know if it would be a waste of time because it would do the same thing or not, as you mentioned. At least I can go into the menu and listen to the 80 songs that are on it though.

Can you beat the game with the glitch? If you can, I'd try finishing the game, then delete your save file and start over and see if the glitch happens again. That's still a super weird glitch!! I can only imagine your frustration!!

The game can't be completed as in one mode you need the kudos points to go up through the levels, and certain cars are unlocked with the points.
I bought Group S Challenge yesterday so i'll give that a try. I'll come back to PGR if I find a solution.

I don't remember having a problem with PGR when I finished it in 2002. Although I was playing the 'Classics' re-release (I wonder if the original version had a few bugs in it????) Great game, better than the second one, I thought, because it runs at a much smoother framerate.

Are you playing it on an original XBox, or on a 360? I've been playing Links 2004 on my 360, and whenever I power the console off, all my saved data is deleted, which didn't happen when I used to play it on my old Xbox1.

I've got the original version and was playing it on my xbox crystal, I haven't got a 360. Don't know about bugs? The disc has got hairline scratches but nothing deep. I had PGR2 in the past but sold it, also Forza Motorsport which i've kept. Got Sega GT2002 which is shit but it's got JSRF on the same disc
Group S Challenge is good. I've had Links for a couple of years but haven't played it yet!
