not if the image itself is not as large as your desktop resolution. you could try downloading it and opening it in an image editor and then use that to blow it up, but that will reduce quality.

or do you mean: the image is full size, but IE loads it in a small, expandable window? because i'm sure there's a trick to force it to open everything in full, but i'd have to search around a bit.

The reduction of size is a specific function of jpeg compression, which was specifically developed to allow picture editing without minimal reduction of quality. It allows the best choice between file size and image quality. So, what you are seeing on a web page is the reduced size of the image and when you click it you get the full image. And unlike a thumbnail link that just takes you to another web page containing the larder image, image resizing in what you are describing is contained in the jpeg algorithm. So ultimately, I think it is a function of the html programming on the web page and I don't believe you can change it. But I may be wrong.

Offline? What's that?
WHen the window is in the "small" form, you have to resize it yourself.

To do this move the "small" window to the top left corner of the screen. Then click and drag on the lower right hand corner of the "small" window and expand it to your full screen.

Close out all windows after doing this and next time you open a window it should be full screen.

Click on a picture of my cock and your monitor will automatically go widescreen and accomodate. ;)

Never argue with a fool. People might not know the difference.
I don't use IE anymore, but I'm pretty sure that if click on the Tools Menu, then choose Internet Options and choose the last Tab, you'll be presented with a preference list that has tick-boxes.

One of the items on the list should have something to do with picture resizing. I'm not sure whether you have to tick it or untick it.

Will fuck for FreeOnes!
this is what Artimus above me was talking about.

Turning On and Off Automatic Image Resizing

Automatic Image Resizing is turned on by default. You can turn it on and off by using the Advanced tab on the Internet Options dialog box.

To turn on and off Automatic Image Resizing

On the Tools menu, click Internet Options.

Click the Advanced tab, and then scroll down to the Multimedia area.

Select or clear the Enable Automatic Image Resizing check box.
