Hey Fellas, What Kinda Toast You Like?

I like White or Sourdough. I like to have it come out already buttered instead of having cold, dry toast put in front of me with that hard butter in the packet which I do not enjoy having to spread.

Coco’s has good toast.

Heat up the cast iron, drop in a spoonful of either butter or lard on medium heat, toast for a little over a minute, flip, toast the other side. Perfecto.

That's some real, old-fashioned Texas Toast, huh? I never tried it that way but I'll give it a shot.

Its a rare thing for me. I like tuna on toast though once every long time. With alfalfa sprouts. That has to be king for me. And its been a lonnnng ass time.

I've been known to have raisin bread toast once in awhile too, and if I have to get it at a restaurant, it depends on the meal. Sourdough is a maybe, wheat is a maybe, and white if I'm having gluten issues. White is easy on the digestion.

I guess I'm not much for toast. Or bread in general. I have a celiac thing going on. I wouldn't say no to tuna on toast. Or with beans, worcestershire, and some parmesan with eggs and sausages. Mmm.

Toast itself? Nearly never.
Its, for me.. one of those things that is too 'simple'? Like, I know it is good stuff. I've had it. I'll not turn down a good piece of toast with nearly whatever condiments are available. (Although I'll never order an avocado toast. Ever. I'm sure it is nice, but hell no.)
But yeah, it is too simple for me to think about. When I look in my freezer and see the bread, I'm thinking more about what I can add that to.
Like vegetables, I guess. Its a thing to add to another thing. But every so really rarely I'll see veggies and think.. ratatouille? Hell yeah. (Having a usual assortment of 'summer' type veg, anyway)

Sidenote: But if we were to talk 'toasted', then I prefer everything toasted. There is a nice burger joint around here that specializes in 'toasting' everything. The burger gets a tiny layer of burnt, the cheese gets a tiny bit of burnt.. the bread is just icing on a toasty cake. They have some sweet potato french fries that I havent.. quite.. gotten used to, yet. I think the sweetness is fine, but they really dont get the 'crispy' frying treatment like normal fries.

So yeah.

Sourdough. But since being diagnosed diabetic... sigh. No toast for me.

Now why'd you go and do that?

We went to San Francisco to this place that explained how Sourdough was invented. Yes, they have great toast at that place too.

God damn it, Baconsalt!
White bread is suitable for making toast and it does not need any coating except butter.

In the old days the toast was made on the campfire.

Today, there are hot knives that handle the job.
