History Channel's Clash of the gods.

Will E Worm

Conspiracy...
It was the religion of the ancients: mythology. Today, myths are often the first stories we learn as children iconic tales in which good and evil clash, in which humanity and fantasy collide.

But thousands of years ago, these myths were created to help frame the world and dictate the guidelines of societies. They were so powerful, they remain woven into the fabric of today's world.

This series explores these myths, from the historical people behind the original stories to their real-life relevance today.

I haven't seen where it would have been exaggerated.

We don't know everything about this world or even the areas where these characters originated. Excavations are still being done in those areas.

We will have to continue to watch and do our own research. ;)

the episode on hercules one of the monsters he had to kill. was like a 3 headed dragon and every time he cut off one the heads. it grow back so eventuality he had to burn the tip after he cut off the heads to defeat the monster.

btw they should definitely do season 2.

Yes, the Lernaean Hydra. Hercules had to overcome the monster and found a way by cauterizing the ends after he had cut of the heads.

There are many characters that can be featured.
So, I see this as a multiple season program.

My hand is my best friend!
God of War is awesome. Especially if the kids want to see some twisted Greek mythology. Killing gods and using heroes lifeless bodies for your own needs. Awesome. As for this show its pretty cool. I think I saw the episode on Zeus and me being a glutton for anything that might be interesting wasted and hour watching this program. I like how its not a show with 23 professors talking about things that might have happened thousands of years ago but we get some actors showing what happened too. I remember the chick playing Hera was quite attractive.

What ever happened to reading about mythology? I watched the shows and they are good, but it's just a telling on greek mythology. Clash of Gods IMO would be Hades vs. Shiva.

Clash of the Gods: Season one

Featured myths and the people behind them include:
The Aztec Temple of Doom
The Labyrinth of the Minotaur
Thor: God of Thunder
Ragnarok: Viking Apocalypse
Beowulf
Nike
Medusa

Clash of the Gods

Where's Zeus and Hades?

Season two should be longer. I would hope.

September 28 for Thor.

I am waiting for Medusa. Or did they already play that one? I missed some.

Odysseus is on the 14th of September.

I missed Thor. I'm not sure it has aired.
I've not seen the episode available online yet.

Medusa has already been on and shown a few times since then.

Beowulf was shown on Monday September 28th, 2009. Thor was supposed to air on that date.

It said it would be the sixth episode.

Haven't a clue. I watched it for second time this past Monday about Beowulf. It's an alright series.

I enjoyed reading that particular story back in British Lit. in high school. I was really fascinated by it, so I watched it to see what it was about. Average.

I wonder if they will talk about the 6,000,000+ gods of India in a huge season finale :rolleyes:

Hercules is a pussy. I bet the Hulk could beat him...or Captain America if he had an MX missile.
