Criminals kill innocent people in all manners of ways everyday... desecrating and dumping their bodies any and everywhere.
But when the g'ment through law enforcement catches them and by chance sentences them to death. They get executed then presumably their remains are appropriately set to rest.
Moral? G'ments shouldn't act like the criminals.:2 cents:
So the British shouldn't have adopted guerrilla tactics in warfare and still lost the war? Honorable yes, successful? Perhaps not.
I agree with what you're saying but when there's war..there's all kinds of nasty things..
I mean this is becoming a discussion on how to appropriately dispose of someone's body after you've murdered them.
Morality is already in short supply.
I was mainly getting to the idea that.
Al Qaida terrorist says; "Hey I killed one of your people and shit on their corpse lulz!!"
Al Qaida terrorist says; "Hey wait you got one of ours and you didn't send him to the afterlife with french horns and a parade? WTF duuuude?"
Seeing as they refrained from (as far as we know) dismembering him and doing ungodly acts to his body to defile him. I say they showed a decent amount of restraint and even went as far as to supposedly give him an Islamic burial. Which they will ignore and bitch about the fact he was buried at sea or that they don't have his body in the first place.
Good PR for us in that we didn't debase ourselves like what happened in Guantanamo Bay. However our resounding good will is ignored in large part by those who it's in honor of.
