I know, we're all sick of Osama's death and the info already, but when they laid him to rest in the sea, do you think it was done with respect? I like to imagine it was just to display that we were the bigger, better people about this but I'm just waiting for images to come out for people posing with his body (thumbs up, showing his genitals, etc). Don't get me wrong, I'm glad he's gone but I do believe since death is the final journey one can make (I also believe we are all products of the environment we were raised in), we all deserve to be buried and rested in the way we or our religion intended. Just my :2 cents:

Muslims can be buried at sea if they die at sea (ie on a ship) and are far from any land. The US will argue that no country was willing to take his body so the sea was the only option. They should have just buried him in the White House so his son could visit his grave every day.

Seeing as they refrained from (as far as we know) dismembering him and doing ungodly acts to his body to defile him. I say they showed a decent amount of restraint and even went as far as to supposedly give him an Islamic burial. Which they will ignore and bitch about the fact he was buried at sea or that they don't have his body in the first place.

Good PR for us in that we didn't debase ourselves like what happened in Guantanamo Bay. However our resounding good will is ignored in large part by those who it's in honor of.

We just have to keep in mind sometimes that in many ways we do rely on the assistance of other Muslims in order to undertake the mission of ending AQ.
