Salary is deceiving... really depends a LOT on where you live. I make over 100k, but I live in a metro area that is pretty expensive, i.e., I could live just as well or better on 60k in a smaller town.

That's the point I was making earlier. My $45k job here would pay me 75+ elsewhere. But, my house only cost me $160k where it would have been $500k+ in some places. It's all relative.
