Take a Hit, Spunker!
I've gone to church one time in the last 7 years. I went one time when I was home on leave from the Army. I stopped going after my mom died in '01.

Hello Sexy girl how your Toes doing?
never I have never held religion in high regard I don't think there is a god; and the only time I have had to go to a church was family or friends funerals or weddings; otherwise; you won't catch me praying to something that doesn't exist.. :hatsoff:

Becks...poamr

Be careful what you wish for, it might come true!
Aside from my great aunt's funeral at the convent in March, I haven't been to Mass in about two or three years.

Ah, well.

Cpt.Obvious

Would you hit it?
I suppose I would go with John Woo and Chow Yun Fat , .... armed.

Still waiting for Jenna to answer my PM
Never. Well, not for years, since I was still being forced to go by my parents during my early teens.

I put never, but I have been a couple of times.

When I was a kid, my best friend's dad was a vicar. So if I ever stayed round his house on a saturday I would always be forced to go to church in the morning.

Damn, church goers freak me out.

Huh?

Damn, church goers freak me out.
Why?
They don't bother me one bit.

The only time church goers used to "freak me out" is when I didn't have my own values that were my solid foundation.
By age 15, I found my values.
By the time I met my wife, they were pretty refined in a way I could explain them well to others.

When "Witnesses" come visit my house, some run the fuck out after talking to me.
It scares them to death that I have such convictions about life, and the harm that has been done by many "movements."
I strongly preach individualism, and the responsibility that comes with that.

And they have trouble and great difficulty arguing with my definition of "sin."
Something that harms others, as well as yourself.
Something you have difficult taking responsibility for.

It's all rather simple to me. ;)

It's why I can jack off as well as bang the shit out of my wife without guilt.
It's how I separate people who enjoy porn from those that have a real problem with it.
It's how I know I'm lacking in my community service at times versus non-sense like "oh, I have to go to Church."

If people put as much time into community service as they did in worrying and going to Church, the world would be a better place.
Taking 1 hour out of your week for Church is pathetic to the amount of time any "saint" of just about any "religious text" suggested we should help others.
I don't need to go to Church to tell me this, and I find 90% of them a distraction and I'll tell them as well. ;)

Seriously? Why?

Allow me to inform you of a few things you might be unaware of.
1. There is no Santa Claus
2. There is no Tooth Ferry
3. There is no Easter Bunny
4. There is no God
Just because some of us don't go to Church doesn't mean we don't believe in God.

Furthermore, you bring up things that man makes up, but ...
- Does the Santa Claus try to explain "The Creator?"
- Does the Tooth Ferry try to explain "Where did I come from?"
- Does the Easter Bunny try to explain "Why am I here?"

No, no and no.

Likewise, I don't go to Church because people try to "invent" God in ways that I don't agree with.
But at the same time, I do have these questions ...
"Why am I here?"
"Where did I come from?"
And who was/is "The Creator?"

Be careful how quickly you "blanket" everyone who may believe, or be searching for, "God."
Is there a God?
I don't know, but there is an universe, I'm part of it and I'm still trying to figure out why.

Some people, including myself, searching for those answers have a quest that is not quite unlike searching for God.
In fact, when people talk about God, I see those same questions asked.
And it's not always arrogance or blind belief, but in many cases, humility and people looking for strength.

Again, be careful what you say not because of what any God may allegedly do to you, but what it says about yourself and lack of interest in seeing what people are reaching for. ;)

great advisory, you can be proud of yourself. hats off to the cynical smart aleck.

as for #1-3 i don't think you have to advise anyone, not even those who believe in #4.

and for #4, it just depends on your definition of "god".

and if i take a deeper look onto your childish answer, i bet your definition of "god" is "the old man in the clouds".

may you should take some advisory what "believe" is really about. :yinyang:

i like to visit churches, but not for religious purposes

Cumming to a town near you.
Who the hell can trust a church, all they want is our money, nothing else matters. Organized religion is just used to control the people and take their money, without being a government.
