If your not in the US army why the fuck does a person need a car this big? Do they have wider seats (yes I just made a fat American joke, hahaha ). If someone drives this car they deserve to get more tickets than other drivers.

And another thing, people who decide to import these things over from the states to drive in the UK. What the fuck are you doing?!? Our roads are tiny and our parking spaces are miniscuel so how you can get it through your moronic head that your going to be able to drive that through a London street is beyond me. All I can hope is they lose control and drive off of a bridge one day. :hatsoff:

I've driven humvees in the Army and they're fun as hell to drive, especially when your LT tells you to floor it in sand!!

Also, you Brits have it easy. Small roads, less cars it would seem to me, but I could be wrong. Here in the States, we have big roads and even bigger assholes who drive them.

Well, you can get a Hummer with a Corvette Z06 engine from a German tuning company! That thing is big and fast!

But Im not a fan of the hummer anymore. Its boring, because any idiot has one. Its nothing special anymore.

ive driven a hummer for a few weeks last year. the front seats arent much bigger than my trucks seats. plus i didnt like spending so much on gas just to get a half tank

Anyway, I think that people who drive Hummers get more tickets because people who drive Hummers are assholes. There is absolutely no reason to buy a Hummer, other than to fit in with all of the other jackasses that drive around in them. They're inconvenient, way too big and they waste gas with a passion. OK, seriously though, there are a lot of things unnecessary on MANY vehicles. Its all a matter of preference, how much you CAN spand and how much you are WILLING to spend. As for getting more tickets, it just draws more attention to itself, so it is easier to spot when you do something wrong and you can't exactly blend in with traffic to avoid it!

I had a classic Corvette for a while, and many a cop would glance my way. The only time I have ever gotten pulled over, however, has been in my truck!

That's not necessarily true. I'm over 6'4" tall. Try fitting a rear-facing car seat in a car with me driving. Doesn't happen, so I'm trudging the SUV until later this year.
