Why are all those godam prius drivers (guys only) always tailgating and attempting to pass everybody else on the road ? Is it insecurity compensation or what ?
They defeat the purpose of owning such a vehicle !
While I tend to have a negative opinion of police culture in general, I try to judge each cop individually, based on what I learn about them or experience personally. I've met/known a handful of good, apparently decent cops who do their jobs without all the power-trip and machismo bullshit.
If they're doing their job appropriately and fairly when they ticket the Hummer drivers, then I approve of that behavior. Whether I "like them" or not is really beside the point.

What's "cool" about it? The styling is ludicrous and unoriginal (see Land Rover, Toyota, and hell, even Lamborghini for much earlier variations on that same theme), and they're not particularly quick, nimble or even great in conquering obstacles (as 4WDs should be). Not to mention that the majority of them are just driven as pointless vanity showpieces, never getting beyond mall parking lots in the first place. Oh wow, so it's "big". Don't most people leave behind such sandbox mentalities by the time they finish high school?
If I ever get one, I would have a bumper sticker that reads:
My Hummer - Powered by Al Gore's Hot Air!!!

And such a bumper sticker might be clever if it were true, but in reality your Hummer - if you ever get one- will almost certainly be powered by gasoline. Yes, you hate Gore. And if he turns out to be more right than you on the issue at hand, I'm sure you will be quick to issue an apology and contribute as much as you can to solving the problem, right?

OK, seriously though, there are a lot of things unnecessary on MANY vehicles. Its all a matter of preference, how much you CAN spand and how much you are WILLING to spend. As for getting more tickets, it just draws more attention to itself, so it is easier to spot when you do something wrong and you can't exactly blend in with traffic to avoid it!
I had a classic Corvette for a while, and many a cop would glance my way. The only time I have ever gotten pulled over, however, has been in my truck!

No, actually I wouldn't get a Hummer - and I could. And no, yours isn't "awsome". If you run over a "piece of shit prius" intentionally then you've committed a crime, and hopefully you'll be brought to justice. You don't live in a video game, putz.
