I'm too lazy to set a usertitle.
I've been a fitness fanatic for years and I'm into bodybuilding and I have never used a weight loss supplement. I've never needed to. I just carefully monitor my diet and exercises. Most people would be amazed what paying careful attention to what one puts into their body and what you do to it does. Of course that take some work, but it's the safest most effective way. I wouldn't be surprised if something like green tea would work better than that anyhow...Plus, I never use anything from MuscleTech if for nothing else than out of principle. :1orglaugh

Anything like that on TV where they flash the fine print and you see "...has not been evaluated by the FDA" don't believe it.

You want to feel better about weight? Weigh yourself at night, then weigh yourself in the morning. You'll instantly lose about 5 pounds from dehydration. Funny how that works huh?

Water weight is the fastest to go, and the fastest to come back.
There's no substitute for a balanced diet and plenty of exercise.

I'm no health major, but this just begs for some common sense to be applied.

Hey guys, I just started using Hydroxycut today. I've researched alot about it and some reviews say it works wonders and some say it's just a fad, but I figured I'd try anyway. Just wondering if anyone has used it and if it actually works. :thumbsup:

A bunch of friends of mine tried that stuff two years ago... about 5 guys of varying weights all actively trying to lose weight. The best review was that it did nothing at all. A couple of them said they felt like shit when taking it. They were irritable, moody, restless, couldn't sleep at night, and just generally crawling out of their skin. After a month, none of them saw any more weight loss than they had had with diet and exercise alone, so they gave up.

This shit is mainly for people who are already in shape and are just looking to shed water to get more definition out of their physiques.This is not a weight loss product,no matter what they advertise.Sure,you'll lose a weight by shedding water,but you can gain it right back in just as much time as it took to lose it.

It's not a bullshit product,it's just bullshit to all of the fat asses out there who don't know that they are not supposed to be using it for weight loss.

I'm 185 lbs, 5'11 and i run/jog 4 to 5 miles a day, and I eat a granola bar for breakfest, 6 inch Subway sandwich for lunch and lean cut turky for dinner. Not to mention I only drink water. I'm just looking to shed about 15 lbs to get to the weight i was at in college. I'm not overweight for my size, i just want to be a little more toned, and why is half the people who respond being such assholes, did I really ask anything that bad. Jesus Christ.

I'm just looking to shed about 15 lbs to get to the weight i was at in college. I'm not overweight for my size, i just want to be a little more toned, and why is half the people who respond being such assholes, did I really ask anything that bad. Jesus Christ.

The best thing you could do is to have weight training with a little bit of cardio while being in a slight (like 200-400/day) calorie deficit. That should keep you from loosing a lot of muscle while you get leaner. Eat roughly a gram of protein a day per pound you weight. Stay away from simple carbs unless it's right after you work out or many carbs at all right before bed. Everything else just make sure you're eating clean and healthy food. Try to split what you eat in a day into 6 or more evenly spaced meals, or at least as many as practical. Don't try to take the weight off all at once. Your not going to do it well in a week or two. Slowly do it in the course of 6-8 weeks maybe even more time if you need it, while being in a slight daily calorie deficit.

I dont know why people think a pill will solve all their problems, staying fit is as simple as spending 4 hours in the gym, sweating hard while believing I will live forever if I just stay away from drinking, drugs, smoking and democrats.

I don't want you to think that I was being an asshole to you,I was just responding to all of the blanketed statements calling this product bullshit.

Yes,it's bullshit if you are trying to lose 30-40 lbs. of fat,but if you are just trying to shed water to get a little more muscle definition,then with the right exercise and diet,it works just fine.

There is a lot to be said about fitness period, but none as far as pills, etc. It is all in diet and exercise.

Dont pay attention to anyone being negative since I am sure they arent in shape themselves.. I agree with most people who say just very closely watch your diet you would be surprised if you looked at every thing you eat just how many calories or carbs are actually in your diet.. For me I have never had to worry about keeping weight off but keeping weight on because of crohn's disease but I do know if you really do want to try a pill a friend of mine did try trim spa before and it did help him loose like 20lbs but you may just want to stick with a good diet

Yankeefan21325 - Absolutely DO pay attention to those who are being negative. They are not being negative to you but to the scam products and shady promotions. They don't want you to potentially damage your liver or waste your $$$ on products that aren't going to help you. Their advice has proven to be correct.

Most of these posters probably are in shape because they understand how to be a strong and healthy athlete without resorting to gimmicks or "quick fixes".

Lance Armstrong said it best. Because of his success he was constantly asked what he was taking ...
not believing that hard work matters someone finally asked him... "What are you on?"
