If I had a dollar for every teenager that tried to give me 'life changing story'... but didnt.. and wont realize for another 5, 10, 15 years.. that it only changed THEIR young, naive life.

A teenager saying they'll never do this or that is like someone walking into a tattoo shop without a design in mind. You simply CANNOT tell me you'll want that ink on your body 10,20 years down the road.

I know what you're talking about. I had & have a friend (he didn't try to convert me, probably because he knew it would cost him our friendship & because he knew it'd be useless) who converted to some lesser known Christian group. I didn't see him for a while (in the meantime he did convert a girl I know & who's married to one of my best friends) (am I still making sense?) and when I did see him again he... well, he didn't actually say I was right, but he did condemn the group he joined (I think he called them a bunch of hypocrites)...

And also these activities take a great risk, and it involves the making of a human life, and for all aspects this should be the most important of all. A new life should be the consecuence of love, not just a man paying some girl that didn´t take care of her business.

I dont´know if I am being clear, but these are some thouhgts I had after reading some or ur posts.

If you really want to save people and help people find the lord, I would suggest getting on your scwinn and peddling down to your local soup kitchen and volunteering there or at the homeless shelter.

There are many people who do need help in this world. Concentrate on them instead of posting on a message board where most people do not need help…………………..Blueballs being the exception.

True, it's my opinion, but you assumed I'd have a different opinion, thus I corrected you.

I do agree that one should not do to another that which one doesn't want to have done onto oneself, (I do hope this part is grammatically correct) but as long as my relatives, which includes a future wife and/or daughter/son are honest with me, I wouldn't mind at all.

But dont you think, the acts of murder, rape etc etc are generally viewed by society as wrong? You dont need the religious template to tell you killing another person is wrong it's already assumed.

Even so, d'you really want your morals to be dictated to you by a bunch of men who in all due respect imagined this whole thing 2000 years ago, or at least made up most of it to suit their own social and political gains, and then again with King James. As you've stated in your post, religion is a man made thing, shouldnt people make their own decisions in life and not have to listen to the word of others in order to be a human being in its entirity?

Religion should not be the place you get your morals from, I mean look at the Catholic Church, do they really follow what they preach? I suppose you could make the same distiction to any religion, do the leaders of any religion really follow what they tell other to do? The answer to that is a reasounding no. So why listen, worship if you have to in your own time, in your own way. Do not force it upon the general populace who dont want to hear it.

Most of us are actually happy without religion, that might be strange but its true.
